Bulletin from Vienna reports a Bulgarian airliner crashed near Burgas killing 50 of the 89 aboard. Earlier Bulgarian news said 82 passengers and seven crew were killed in the Dresden to Burgas flight.
Mrs Candidat Lopez fifty nine year old Silver City resident died Sunday at Ft Bayard Hospital. She was born in Galena Chihuahua Mexico. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a m Friday for Marion Edington 32 charged with aggravated assault in the shooting of Jimmy Haynes 2 in Silver City early Tuesday. Haynes is hospitalized at Hillcrest General Hospital after the 1 a m Monday incident, with Silver City Police Lt Elias Garcia leading the investigation.

A large oil spill occurred on tracks near the Silver City railroad depot at night. The Silver City Fire Department handled the scene and began an investigation. Officials believe a leaking tanker car or illicit dumping caused the spill. sand was used to prevent spread toward a nearby building.
