A rent house on FM 92 north of Silsbee burned Feb 13. Earlier on Feb 12 a stove vent sparked a fire at a home on FM 1122. Two woods fires were reported Feb 14 in Prewitt Addition and Loading Rack Road nearby.
Youth Challenge starts at First Assembly of God Fellowship hall on Saturdays from 6 to 8 pm, beginning February 21. Funeral services for Mrs James Ferguson Sr 71 of Houston and formerly of Silsbee were held at Reeves Methodist Church Houston with burial in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. She died in a Houston hospital from burns in a home accident and lived in Houston 12 years with Rev Ferguson, pastor of First Methodist Church in Silsbee.
