Parrish killed Monday when his car collided with a pickup at Boare Oak and Fastex Freeway in Beaumont. Burglars Strike Three Times In Silsbee
Silsbee police report three burglaries Friday and Monday targeting Silsbee Junior High School and two local businesses. At the school, thieves opened west doors, used a key to enter the wood shop, and stole about 1.50 in change, a switch blade, and a bulldog emblemed Mack truck ashtray from the counselor’s office. a master key to outside doors was taken. Earlier, Brown’s Laundry at 925 North 5th Street was broken into with a screwdriver, stealing 10 to 15 dollars in change, and at McGallion Service Station a vent window was pried, leaving pennies and three unknown tires.

Three Candidates On Ballot For Hardy County Treasurer
Hardin County voters will see three candidates on the treasurer ballot after the 88th District Court ruling, with Henry Doneson Jr and Versie Flowers refiled on March 18 and Chuck Newsom refiled March 31.
