Supreme Court OKs Sewer Bond Plan in Missouri
The Missouri Supreme Court ruled the $450 000 portion of a $1 050 000 sewer bond issue valid and upheld the enabling law. The city can now seek bids and commence sale after bids are determined, with $450 000 retired by sewer charges and $600 000 by real estate taxes. Intervenor Dr F L Sisson led the challenge, aided by attorney Robert A Dempster. The decision affects state bonding practices and was watched by many cities statewide.
