The Sikeston Chamber of Commerce announced 11 710 cleaning painting and repair jobs completed during the Clean Up Paint Up Fix Up drive. Airport School led with 5 015 jobs, followed by South Grade 4 562 and Bailey 759. Remaining schools and rooms posted notable efforts, with several students earning per pupil awards.

The Southeast Missouri Elevator Company sells its McMullin elevator to C. D. Springs. Joe Cravens and Roland Malcolm will run it starting June 1, with around the clock operation during peak season and new unloading gear. FE. M. Allen and L. M.
