A wind driven blaze at the Government Resettlement project in LaForge destroyed a 60 by 160 foot frame warehouse used for storage and fabrication of houses and outbuildings. Unidentified Pedestrian Buried in New Madrid
Interment was held in New Madrid for an unidentified man killed Saturday on Highway 61 when an automobile driven by Earl Bentley of Cape Girardeau struck him. Coroner L A Richards said no clues identified the victim, about 60, despite fingerprint attempts. The crash occurred about 10:30 near Sikeston. Bentley was not found at fault and no inquest was held.
