A.C. Lavine and I. Gordon, both injured in a Gray Ridge area accident, were admitted for treatment at Sikeston Hospital. Mrs Gordon died several hours after arrival. Company K to Visit Sikeston Next Weekend

All Registrants To Be Classified In Scott County
Immediate classification of all registrants was ordered this week as the Scott county Draft Board aims to mail 50 questionnaires daily until the lowest listing number 4152 is reached. Questionnaires go to order numbers 1100 to 1150 today and must be returned promptly. The board will meet at Sikeston city hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm to assist registrants, who should complete forms fully for speed. A regulation change makes five more men eligible for I A classification. two or more convictions or serious crimes place a registrant in 4 F.

Illinois Woman Killed in Gray Ridge Wreck
Mrs. S. Gordon, 64, of DeKalb Illinois, died from a fractured skull at Sikeston General Hospital twelve hours after being thrown from an overturned car following a collision on Highway 60 in Gray Ridge. Her husband, a retired DeKalb auto dealer, is seriously hurt with a broken nose. two other injured were Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Levine of Buffalo New York. Funeral services for Mrs DeKalb were held in Chicago. Survivors include husband, two daughters and three sons.

The SikesTon High School Band, under Keith Collins, will present its final concert of the year in the high school auditorium on Tuesday night May 13. July 1 Set for Registration of 21-Year-Old Men
Army and Selective Service officials plan July 1 as the registration date for about 1,000,000 men who have turned 21 since the first enrollment last October. Registration will occur at the 6500 local draft boards. officials call it a fairly simple task compared with last fall when 16,500,000 were signed up.
