Dalton Seeks Court Ruling on Cigarette Tax Law
The Herod Mondas reports Dalton says the cigarette tax bill is tied up in legal questions and may be decided by voters if law action is not taken. He cites that the bill would impose a one mill per cigarette tax, with funds earmarked for public needs, and notes contention over whether the measure can proceed without formal legal action.
