Benton Doctor Haw Shot Dead In Benton Drug Store
Dr Uriel P Haw longtime Benton and Scott county physician was shot and killed Tuesday morning at the City Drug Store by Alvie Steck a part time Benton resident. Steck surrendered to authorities and is jailed on first degree murder charges. Funeral services for Dr Haw were held at the Benton Methodist church.
