Joseph L. Matthews Jr died at Sikeston General Hospital after a fall near the Dunn Hotel caused a basal skull fracture. Funeral services will be at his parents’ home on North Kingshighway at 2:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. E. D. Owen. Burial in Memorial Park cemetery. Survivors include his widow Ann Draughon, parents, a brother Robert L. Matthews, grandmother Bettie Matthews, and nephew Robert L. Matthews Jr.
