Baker, struck him with a pistol butt, and fled after an accomplice filled the car with 13 gallons of gas. Baker was aided by J F Cox and sons, with insurance covering the $26 loss.

Funeral services held for Mrs Nannie Skaggs near Sikeston
Funeral services for Mrs Nannie Skaggs age 75 were held at her home southwest of Sikeston at two this afternoon. Interment followed in Parma cemetery with full burial rites. Mrs Skaggs, who had lived in the area for years, died Wednesday from infirmities of old age. She is survived by two sons.

Aged Man Suffered Stroke Found On Sidewalk
Will Harrison a 70 year old Sikes ton resident was found unconscious on Malone avenue at six this morning by Night Officer Walter Hughes. He had a severe paralytic stroke and cold exposure. Harrison was moved to St Francis Hospital Cape Girardeau. He suffered a second stroke en route and is in grave condition.
