Wild garlic control and soil conference in Scott County
Scott County Farm News reports two methods to rid lawns of wild garlic. Use amine 2 4 D sprayed at five inch tall plants with three applications from December to early March, cautioning against drift and effects on clover. The second method suggests feeding Italian rye grass and mowing to choke out garlic. Also notes the 16th Annual Soils and Crops Conference on January 3 at Benton school gym, highlighting past gains in corn yields, alfalfa acres, and fertilizer use, and the North Rockview 4 H club election of officers with Tom B Stroup and Hunter E George assisting.
