Sidney Community Association Holds Lively Meeting

The Sidney Community Association met at the courthouse Tuesday evening with a small turnout. About 160 members exist, 123 paid, others ready to pay. budget plans foresee revenue of ten to twelve thousand dollars, adaptable as needed. Members discussed securing a secretary, potential stock-building for housing, Salvation Army fundraising, city water and park needs, refunding bonds, and municipal band promotion.

Burglars Strike Huntsman Bank. Burglaries Spread

An unsuccessful attempt to burglarize Huntsman Bank occurred in the early Saturday hours using dynamite and dry cells to blow the safe door. Tools left behind were recovered by Sheriff McDaniel, while coats and other items were reported stolen or left at the scene. Similar break ins followed in Potter and Sidney with shop windows, a car, and a fur overcoat among the taken items. Police are tightening checks as the burglars remain at large. residents urge swift arrests to restore order.

Sidney to host stopping point in transcontinental air race

Police Court Adds to The Treasury
