Luxurious Bath Fixtures Drawn From Artful Motifs
A New York hardware dealer notes a rising trend in luxury bath décor featuring gold and silver plated fixtures, crystal knobs, and intricate motifs such as fleur de lis Greek key and reed and ribbon. Collectors seek marble tubs and custom wash basins while costlier pieces like solid gold light switches appear in some extreme purchases. The shift reflects a broader move from utilitarian bathrooms to stylish, statement rooms. The article also mentions decorators using Louis XVI influences and catalog houses supplying revived classic designs.
