Young of Sidney as program chairman. Activities center at St Sidney Motor Hotel with an outdoor barbecue at Sidney Country Club. Wheat Action Sees Price Rise Aids Nebraska Growers
Ray Davis of Potter told the Nebraska Wheat Growers Association that eight states have joined the delayed market action. He cited market gains of eight to nine cents per bushel and noted little criticism. The group discussed a National Wheat Commission and foreign promotion, with questions about financing and state commissions under a new setup. Wright Retires After 12 Years Directing Sidney Lunch Program
A. E. Wright retires after 12 years as lunch program director for Sidney schools, having served 1,784,248 meals from 1955 to 1967. Receipts totaled $584,000 with expenses of $578,000. $36,000 in free meals were funded by donations from The Kings Daughters and other groups. Wright began on the school board in 1937, later serving as president and lunch supervisor, and will rest after three decades of service.

Missing funds and vandalism hit Sidney High School
About 35 dollars was taken from a drawer in the Sidney High School woodworking shop over the weekend, police said a window may have been left open. The loss was discovered Monday. A separate vandalism report noted a rock thrown through a windshield of a car owned by Maddox Motors, report says.
