Nebraska Swine Breeders Seek 7000 for State Farm Laboratory
Nebraska Swine Breeders association will ask the next legislature for 7000 to equip and maintain a hog cholera serum laboratory at the state farm in Lincoln. The facility would supply free serum to Nebraska farmers to prevent counterfeit products, following successful South Omaha experiments at the Union Stock Yards. A special meeting directed an immediate campaign to fund and locate the laboratory.

Landmark Fire Destroys Sidney Blacksmith Shop
Fire at one o clock Friday morning destroyed the Kruse blacksmith shop a Sidney landmark. Water mains were weak yet firemen saved surrounding buildings and coal piles. Owner Charles Kruse was insured for four hundred dollars and the Telephone company suffered about fifty dollars of damage to wires cables and poles.
