RC&D Approved for Panhandle Development Plan in Nebraska
Senator Roman Hruska announced federal approval for Nebraska's Panhandle RC&D project by the Soil Conservation Service. The plan covers 9.03 million acres across Sioux, Dawes, Sheridan, Box Butte, Scottsbluff, Morrill, Garden, Banner, Kimball, Cheyenne and Deuel Counties, with technical and financial federal support anticipated. Rites Set For Young Potter Man
Funeral services for David A. Dorman 27 of Potter will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church with Rev. Ellis Wotan officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. He graduated Sidney High School 1960 and earned a BS in animal science from the University of Nebraska in 1964. He married Catherine M. Kelly June 11 this year in Porcupine South Carolina. He lived on a farm south of Potter and belonged to First Christian Church and the Elks. Active in 4-H and extension work in Cheyenne County. Surviving: widow, parents, two brothers Robert of Denver and John of Sidney, three sisters Fannie Stull of Wray Laura Lee Chapman of Bismarck and Ruth of Phoenix.

August Is Strong Month for Frontier Airlines
Frontier Airlines reports August passenger traffic rose with 102.14 million revenue passenger miles, a 5 percent gain from July, while available seat miles fell 1 percent. Load factor reached 51 percent, up from 48.1 percent in July. Total passengers totaled 242,442, averaging 421 miles per flyer, a 4 percent rise from July. Sidney saw 213 boardings, up from 195 in August 1969, despite last year’s strong month, notes Sidney station manager Dale Kindred.

Junk Autos Targeted for Crushing in Sidney Area
Sidney city manager John Baudek says junk cars will be finally disposed of by C and D auto wrecking of Commerce City. A crushing machine will operate at the A and Z yard east of Sidney for about two weeks, crushing salvage yard and in town junk autos. A Z Auto Salvage Burglarized Near Sidney
The A Z Auto Salvage east of Sidney was broken into during the night Saturday. About $250 worth of hand tools were stolen. Owner Merlin Belsner said a door glass was kicked in by the thieves.
