Robert Lambert dies of heart attack near Sidney
Robert A. Lambert age 48 died early this morning from a heart attack while hitching a truck at Brewer's Trailer Court east of Sidney. A Cheyenne County resident for 15 years, he farmed and ran trucks. Born April 4, 1911 in Oklahoma he is survived by wife Emma three children Robert Jr Loretta Patricia of Denver and sister Loretta LaBotte of Rossville Kan. Funeral arrangements are pending with Gehrig and Son.

Salmon Fire Damage: Boxcar of Smoked Salmon Burns
Firefighters from Pine Bluffs Wyoming and Sidney Nebraska battled a boxcar carrying smoked salmon that ignited after an initial blaze. Damages were estimated at 38 500 dollars for the salmon and 2 000 dollars for the boxcar. One Sidney firefighter was injured with a knee wound and treated locally.
