Sidney Gun Club Holds Weekly Clay Pigeon Shoots
The Sidney Gun Club of sixty five members has run four months of weekly clay pigeon shoots at grounds south of town with strong scores. Monthly contests for the Newberry Silver Cup show a low 113 and high 122 in August. Cup awarding is pending due to incomplete score reports. Officiating officers elected: President F A Gapen, Secretary Treasurer L G Lowe, Field Captain D R Campbell.

Obituary: Infant Daughter of T H Becker Dies in Cholera Infantum
The sixteen month old child of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Becker of Sidney Draw died September 5 from cholera infantum. Funeral services were held Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Trygstad presiding. A heavy blow to the grieving parents and the community offers them sympathy. Mr. and Mrs. George Gebhardt and child left Saturday for Savannah Missouri to visit Gebhardt relatives and then travel to northeast Nebraska and South Dakota for a three month trip.

Five New County Roads Established at Cheyenne County Session
Cheyenne County Nebraska board met September 8 1914 with all members present. They selected names for a October 1914 district court jury from Sidney Union Valley Davison Lodgepole Colton Eagle Potter Bronson Chambers Trognitz Joseph Benish and others. They voted to submit a re survey proposition for township sixteen range fifty one at the November 3 1914 general election and set bids for dirt and rock moving on a Porter road. They established five county roads numbered 235A 236A 2414 2314 and 219A and approved funds for agricultural society exhibit and various payments including fines juror fees and village utility costs.

Boy Fractures Arm After Team Runs Away
Ernest Reker broke his left arm above the wrist when his team bolted after he unhooked them along a township road south of town. Ford, passing, stopped and helped bring him to town. Reker senior later drove him home after reduction and shakeup. no damage to the team or wagon.

Touring Lozier overturns near cemetery during cross country trip
A heavy two passenger Lozier touring car rolled over east of town near the old Catholic cemetery on Saturday. Traveling east across the continent at about forty five miles per hour it struck a sand draw and the occupants were thrown clear. They were delayed for a couple of days for extensive repairs.
