Fossil discoveries shipped to Lincoln from western area
More than 200 large boxes weighing about 20 tons will be shipped to the University of Nebraska museum by summer's end. Two expedition units remain in the field at Broadwater and Gordon this month, with C. Bertrand Schultz noting the season's yield as the most productive in local history, roughly double prior years. Discoveries include a world’s largest camel, a giant beaver, a pleistocene horse, a ground sloth, ancient dart points and knives. The beaver remains near Rushville and the camel bones near Broadwater mark major finds for the museum. The ground sloth skeletal parts are especially rare. Continued on page 8 column 2.

Commissioners Meet For Regular Session

Movie Stars Bring Out Curious Crowd At Omaha Premiere
A small crowd gathered at Union Pacific platform Tuesday morning to glimpse Spencer Tracy Mickey Rooney and other Hollywood stars en route to Omaha for the world premiere of Boy's Town. Tracy waved from his stateroom window and Rooney flashed a smile. The train was two hours late and officials kept the stars aboard to avoid crowds on the platform. Crowds had greeted the train since Los Angeles.

Lawrence Jessen Among Telegraph’s Oldest Readers

San Francisco Woman Suffers Neck Fracture in Sidney Area Crash
