County Board of Equalization Adopts 1912 Tax Levy in Cheyenne County

On September 2 1912 the Cheyenne County Board of Equalization met in Sidney Nebraska to set levies. General Fund 6 mills Bridge Fund 114 mills Road Fund 2 mills Interest on courthouse bonds 2 mills. School districts across the county received General Fund and various building and bond levies. The board adjourned with no date, attested by Clerk H I Doran.

Cheyenne County Proceedings Approve Bridge Bid and Salaries

County commissioners of Cheyenne County Nebraska meet to approve the Empire Bridge Co. of Omaha as lowest bidder for a forty foot steel bridge at 954 dollars, appoint a deputy sheriff and approve salaries and expenses for August. They authorize payments from general and road funds, set next statutory meeting for October 1, 1912, and note related inquests, audits, and contributions to the agricultural society.

Engineers Ball charms Sidney with Union Pacific themed dance

Last Saturday the engineers for the Julesburg to Pine Bluffs double tracking hosted a blue print themed dance at the ice-plant hall. The event featured verse invitations, blue print maps, a hand-car to décor, Punch and a two course luncheon. Stokes Orchestra provided music to a socially successful evening.

Harper to Build Large Addition Occupying Entire Lot
