Old Settlers Reunion Draws Large Crowd Despite Rain
A cold damp day and torrential evening rain did not deter a large turnout for Lodgepole’s Old Settlers Reunion. The parade, rodeo, ball game, and afternoon program ran on schedule with 250 old timers registered. Winners in contests included Rankin and From in horse events, and the parade highlighted by floats and old-time entries. The Rev. Walter L. Jewett of Sidney gave the main address with notable speakers from Omaha and Kimball also featured.
