Iron Lung Fund Drive Continues in County
Donations are still being accepted for the iron lung fund through The American National Bank in Sidney and other local spots including Brown McDonald's and The Telegraph. Money collected beyond the lung's purchase price goes to a special operating account for those unable to cover costs. The lung was rushed to Kimball last week but not used. Lions Club led the drive with A. J. Jorgenson heading the finance committee as funds came in from many parts of the county.

Dissolution of County's Fair Board Is Proposed
Frank Bunnell a 79 year old Chappell resident lies in critical condition after a suicide attempt Tuesday afternoon. He was taken to Taylor Hospital where Dr Hull Cook said his condition is critical. Bunnell's wife says health likely motivated the act. He sustained deep wrist and throat wounds and is receiving plasma and penicillin to treat shock. Bunnell lived at the Mizell residence in Chappell and locked himself in his room before being found.

Celebration is Off At Potter Dates Postponed

Petitions Drive to End County Fair Board in Cheyenne County
