The Cheyenne County Board of Commissioners met in Sidney and after reviewing two bids awarded a contract to The Stewart Iron Works Company of Cincinnati for $5 9000 to furnish and erect steel jail components and related work as per Fall River Architect plans. Adjournment set for Sept 13 1911. Also a lodge surprise at Worden home with gifts for Mrs Worden.

Tobin Called Away by Telegram After Nephew's Death
Mrs. M. H. Tobin received notice by telegram of the death of her nephew William Bourlier of Johnson Nebraska. He and two friends were riding in a car that went over a bridge at the foot of a steep hill, plunging more than twenty five feet and pinning them beneath the wreck. Rene Lapier survived but is prostrated by the shock and loss of his companions.
