Cheyenne County taxpayers begin 1948 personal and real estate tax payments next Monday November 1. Receipts arrive late Saturday. about five thousand notices sent to taxpayers. Personal taxes due November 1 with delinquent dates December 1 and July 1, 1949 for first and second halves. Real estate taxes due January 1 with May 1 1949 and September 1 1949 delinquency dates. Total county take expected around 900 thousand to one million dollars, up from 700 thousand in 1947. Sale of delinquent land and town lots begins November 1, and the delinquent list appears in three October issues. this year the list is under eighty farm tract listings.

Consumers Provide Energy To Reclamation Network
Consumers Public Power District announced a feed of power into the US Bureau of Reclamation network at Scotts Bluff Nebraska. Grant said deliveries began October 12 and will continue for at least a year to support reservoir filling in western Nebraska and Casper Wyoming with 1.5 to 2 million kWh monthly from the Scottsbluff plant, including a new 5,000 kW unit. All power comes from Consumers Western system, not the eastern Nebraska grid.

A native of Sidney he studied at Creighton Omaha interned at Boston City Hospital and served three years in the U S Army medical corps rising to captain. He and his wife with infant daughter purchased a home at 2023 Linden St and the Roche Hospital building offices were remodeled for new clinic space.
