Obituary: Mabel Miles 70 Dies at Memorial Hospital

Mabel Josephine Johnson Miles 70 died early today at Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born Feb 20 1900 in Sidney to Nels and Elna Olson Johnson she lived in the area her entire life and farmed with her late husband Ed Miles. Survivors include son Harvey J Miles daughters Hazel McGowan Alice Stengel sister Julia Rasmussen 15 grandchildren one great grandchild. Funeral arrangements are with Gehrig and Son Funeral Home. A fuller obituary will appear in Wednesday’s Telegraph.

Judge Kuns Undergoes Second Operation At Methodist

District Judge John H. Kuns of Kimball underwent lung surgery at Methodist Hospital in Omaha last Saturday morning and is reported in satisfactory condition. Earlier he had a major operation from which he was recovering well after a New England trip following the first surgery.
