SALT LAKE CITY Community Television Inc announced the conditional purchase of cable systems at Sterling Colorado Laramie Wyoming Sidney and Gering Nebraska from Collier Community TV Co The deal hinges on FCC approval of Mountain Microwave Corps Denver to bring five Denver channels to the Nebraska and Colorado towns Meanwhile Douglas J Kahle president of Multi Pix Inc Denver said his firm will buy the Alliance and Kimball Nebraska systems from Collier if Mountain Microwave gets FCC consent Kahle already runs a CATV system at Lamar Colorado Plans call for modernization and expansion after FCC approval with Kahle and associates also operating the Intermountain Radio Network and National Broadcasting Co TV affiliate in Salt Lake City

Mrs. Elsie Merscheim Rites Set in Potter
Potter widow Elsie Marie Hendrickson Merscheim 68 died suddenly Saturday night. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Potter Methodist Church with Rev. Irwin Kiel and Rev. O. D. Hoagland officiating. Interment in Potter Cemetery, Craig Mortuary in charge. Born in Polk County Nebraska, she attended Osceola High School and Kearney State Normal. She married Ralph E. Merscheim in 1919. he died in 1959 and a daughter Maxine died in 1935. Surviving are son Kenneth, two grandchildren, sister Lula Hendrickson, and brother Mark Hendrickson. She was active in Royal Neighbors, WWI Auxiliary, WSCS, American Legion Auxiliary, and served as Star Route rural mail carrier and a news reporter for The Sidney Telegraph, Western Nebraska Observer, and KSID.

Staff Assembling To Run Sidney Occupational Training School
