Talent Show Opens Two Night Run At City Auditorium
The jet propelled home talent show Flying High debuts at 8 p.m. for a two night stand at the city auditorium. Burglars Hit Sidney Businesses In Tuesday Night Jobs
Thieves broke into Western Implement Company on Highway 30 and Resler Truck Line at 15th and Toledo in Sidney. They rifled cash drawers, taking about $55 at the first location and $175 at the second, using a bolt cutter on locks and padlocks. Authorities believe the culprits knew the town and the firms.

Jesse Watson a 38 year old worker for The Olds Drilling Co was killed on an oil rig near Holyoke. A bolt struck with force severing an artery in his neck producing almost instantaneous death. Watson resided in Sterling.

Griffith condemned to death for wife murder in Nebraska
District Judge John Kuns denied a new trial for Hugh Griffith found guilty of first degree murder in Anna Griffith’s death.
