Brief reports two diphtheria deaths Ollie Ickes and Priscilla Shipman five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M A Shipman. V Klein plans to take his daughter Ethel to Omaha tonight as her health deteriorates beyond hay fever prompting a consultation with a specialist. The Club ranch will ship forty two cattle cars east tonight and a similar shipment is planned for next week. Most are feeders for Clarke Nebraska feeding yards. John Johnson, long ill in Wyoming, was moved to an Omaha hospital last week for appendicitis surgery.
Examinations occurred this week while diphtheria closed school at Wednesday noon. Alfred Shipman missed days due to his sister Priscilla's death. Miss Cox resigned and the school board seeks a Lincoln replacement. Ralph and Gene Ribble were absent for family illness. Ralph Devine plans a move to St Joseph with family later this month.
