Nursing Home Set for Nov 1 Opening at Lodgepole Plaza

The Lodgepole Plaza Nursing Home at 15th Ave and Toledo St expects occupancy by November 1 after delays from material shortages and a plumbers strike. Winter Weather Brings Measurable Moisture to Area

For a week cold air kept temperatures in the low 40s to the 20s with sleet snow and ice delivering .16 inch of moisture on Wednesday and a trace on Thursday. Snow depth reached one inch with more snow and rain forecast for the weekend and into early next week as FAA records show a 22 to 43 degree Friday high.

Precipitation probability near zero this afternoon, about 20 percent tonight and Saturday. Extended outlook calls for unsettled weather with chances of rain or snow Sunday through Tuesday.

Edward Rhine Named OSU Admissions Associate Director

Edward E. Rhine, son of Flora Rhine of Columbus, has been named associate director of admissions at Ohio State University in Columbus. A Nebraska native, he earned a BA in 1965 and an MFA in 1964 from Ohio University, joined OSU in 1963 as assistant director of admissions, and was promoted in 1966. Previously he led university relations at Bowling Green State University and held roles at Ohio University. He served in the Navy 1946-49 and 1952-61 as a journalist, and is married with three sons, living at 2104 Inchcliff Rd.
