Rites Set Monday for Lodgepole Leader Harry Kreider
Prominent Lodgepole citizen Harry Kreider 60 died of a heart attack Thursday in Colorado at a daughter’s home in Gunnison. A Nebraska native, he came to Lodgepole in 1921 and built a career in the implement business with farming interests. He helped found the Old Settler’s Reunion and served on the Lodgepole school and village boards. Survived by wife Alta and six children, funeral services were held at the Lodgepole Methodist Church with interment in the local cemetery.

Death Claims John George
John C. George 78 died Saturday night after a long illness. Funeral services at Trinity Lutheran Church Wednesday at two with Rev. Henry Monnich officiating. Interment in Sidney Cemetery. Survived by wife, two daughters and ten sons, two sisters, twenty grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Mr. George moved to Sidney after retiring from farming in 1937. He was born January 5, 1869 in Bloomington Illinois and married in Anchor Illinois in 1894.
