Coroner Rules Otteman Death An Accident
A six man coroner’s jury ruled William C Otteman died by accident on September 20 1938 after his body was found in a field near his home. Dr. Roche testified Otteman died at least forty eight hours before discovery, with initial belief of foul play later revised to dragging by mules. The verdict closes the inquest led by County Attorney P J Heaton with eleven witnesses.

Six Amendments To Face Voting Public
Six constitutional amendments will be voted on by Nebraska citizens at the general election November 8. Four propositions comprise the short ballot amendments submitted by the 1937 legislature, each to be voted on separately. The first would shift several electives to four year terms starting 1943 with governor appointments subject to senate confirmation. Two Potter Youths Build Model Plane
Roderick MacAdam and Nathan Mudge built a model plane that flew Sunday to an altitude of 3000 feet. In its first test, the craft stayed aloft five minutes and forty six seconds, covering more than half a mile on one half ounce of fuel and averaging about 800 miles per gallon.
