Sidney Neb Oct 3 1905 the board apportions road funds by district and divides Lodgepole Bayard and Camp Clarke precincts into new road districts. A petition moves the polling place in Davison precinct. votes approve a northwest road grant. Jury panels are named for the November term and a Cheyenne County vault contract is awarded.
Local Democrats held a caucus at the engine house and nominated precinct officers and ticket. Justices A J Haskell and Wm Smith. constables Wm Schimpf and John Tigsue. road overseers Nick Trienen and Dan Kelley. north side judge and clerk Gua Wellner and Frank Shelton. south side 4H Bettendorf and F Ackerman. Jude Tucker and L F Cleeman named delegates to the county convention. Delegates named: John Parks, Thos Clinton, Wm Smith, Louis Wasem, Wm Hoffmeyer, John Daugherty, Nick Trienen.
Mr and Mrs C M Wright and family express deep gratitude to friends for kindness and sympathy in the illness and death of their daughter and sister Grace. They say they will hold the helpers in grateful remembrance. Public notices of local ads follow.

Grace Wright seventeen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Wright died at home after a four day illness from peritonitis. She had grown up in Sidney and was well loved. Funeral services were conducted at the Lutheran church by Rev. Lenmer. The Wright family receives deep sympathy from the community.
Mr Loura Jessen and Miss Anna Moore wed Thursday at 5 am in the groom’s home town. Rev Leamer officiated with a wedding breakfast. After a wedding trip to Portland they will reside in Sidney where Jessen has a home prepared. Both have longtime ties to Sidney and many friends offer congratulations.
The Inter Ocean notes the Slayton Jubilee Singers perform Old Plantation Days at the opera house on Saturday October 14. The company appears in period dress singing cotton field era melodies and hymns, with the Original Black Patti delivering "Away Down Upon the Suwanee River" and an encore prompting the stage manager to lift a no encore rule.
