Sidney permits surge boosts October to over one million

September total lagged with 51 660 in Sidney permits but October’s first four days yielded 274 413 including 111 174 for American National Bank remodeling. Four new homes valued 24 000 to 30 000 each were started by Globe Enterprises and B and B Construction. Other small permits under 3000 added, taking 1976 totals to 1 093 444 for year to date, a milestone not reached in 13 years.

Swine flu shots eyed for election day in Cheyenne County

Plan to hold inoculation clinics at Memorial Hospital in Sidney on Nov 2 with Norma Otero of Scottsbluff, a State Health Department representative. Doses arriving in Scottsbluff will be distributed to hospitals and clinics for chronically ill and high risk patients with a public consent form and no charge.

The South Platte Natural Resources District outlines recommendations to the Basin Policy Advisory Committee under Section 208. Sidney to host Nebraska GOP town hall meeting

Sidney will host one of 25 town hall meetings across Nebraska the week of October 14 11. The Sidney session is set for Thursday October 14 at 8 p m at an announced location. Panels will include county leaders state central committee members and candidates as the state GOP frames there is a difference themes. County Superintendent 1A Caldwell reports 138 students across 10 rural schools this year, about 10 fewer than last year. District 12 Sunol leads with 34 pupils, District 33 Lorenzo has 28, sixth grade has 24, and grade totals run K 15, 1 19, 2 12, 3 13, 4 20, 5 15, 6 24, 7 14, 8 6.
