Cattle plague continues with stock losses. John Busucker and four sons went to Eaton Colorado to fetch spuds. Uncle Johnny and gang pursue land office business in Colorado potato fields. Henry threshing underway. trip to look after jobs was tough. Potatoes raised on large vacant Chicago and Boston lots noted. Newborns report two babies with same political leanings. Weather volatile last week, now mild. Threshing ends this week. corn husking begins. fodder being hauled. next year could see more corn-binders if corn remains available.

Sudden Death of M. L. Nash in Lodgepole
M. L. Nash, longtime Lodgepole resident and head of the Union Pacific water plant and park, died suddenly Wednesday at 2 pm from heart failure while on duty at the tank. Coroner Bassett investigated but no inquest was needed. His death followed the recent loss of his wife, with two sons living in Mechanicaburg, New York, and Alaska.
