More than two thousand people attended the Sunday Open House for the new St Patrick's Academy High School in southwest Sidney. Rev Vincent Pelster noted the crowd’s size and enthusiasm. Registration helpers included Janice Treinen and Beverly Mohatt, with Mrs Burgett Peetz overseeing the switchboard and building music via ceiling speakers. John A. Moseman a fifty year resident died at Memorial Hospital after a long illness at age 67. Funeral services will be Thursday at two from St. Pauls Lutheran Sidney with Rev Clarence Boye officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. He was born Dec 6 1896 at West Point Nebraska and lived in Sloop er before Sidney. Survived by Martha Badziong wife and four children Evelyn DeMers Leonard J John M Deanna Burrows, 17 grandchildren, three brothers William Scribner Herman Adolph, three sisters Ann Elsen Regina Wallcott Emma Luther. He operated gas stations for Sinclair Refining Co.

John Chapman Dies Suddenly at 34 in Sidney
John F. Chapman 34 of Sidney died at home Saturday night from a heart attack. A farmer and 20-year resident, he was born August 6 1930 in Yuma Colorado. Married Laura Lee Dorman in Sterling June 9 1950, he served four years in the Navy during the Korean conflict. Survivors include his wife, his mother, a brother Gaylord, and a sister Mrs William Kinnersley. Funeral Wednesday 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church. burial Greenwood Cemetery Gehrig and Son Funeral Home in charge.

William A. Kreinbring, 77, died at his farm home eight miles south of Sidney from a heart attack. He lived and farmed around Gurley, Thayer County, and Sioux Depot before moving to his current farm south of He. A member of South Divide Trinity Lutheran Church, he is survived by many nieces and nephews in the Sidney area and one brother, Herman K. of Deshler, with four brothers and a sister preceding him in death. Services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at South Divide Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Walter H. Seefeldt. Burial in the church cemetery. Craig Mortuary in charge.

Absentee Ballots Ready For Voters In Cheyenne County
County Clerk Ralph Englert reports 155 absentee ballots mailed for the November 3 election. Most early applications come from servicemen.
