Crops Vary By Method Across North Divide Farms
This report notes a clear link between farming methods and yields on the North divide. On the J. E. Millard farm four miles north and two east of town a spring wheat average reached seventeen bushels per acre. Beyers brothers, with five quarter sections, show varied but strong results: Pete 46 bushels oats and 24 1/2 wheat. John 40 oats and 22 Macaroni wheat. Frank 22 Macaroni wheat and 18 red. Lawrence 1600 bushels wheat from an unmeasured tract. H. W. Krewer reports 8000 bushels minimum grain from 345 acres in grain, plus 130 bushels per acre potatoes.

Mrs Eliza C Smith of Sidney Dies at Green Wood Ranch
Mrs Eliza C Smith longtime Sidney resident and former Smith ranch proprietor on Greenwood Creek died suddenly at her Pumpkin Creek ranch last Friday while assisting in work. The body was taken to Auburn Nebraska for burial with J E Trinnier and family accompanying. Mrs Trinnier, the deceaseds only child, mourns with many locals.

Pryors Band Formed From Sidney Orchestras
The Sidney Military Band and Juvenile Band disband to form Pryors Band. Members include Russell Dedrick as leader, Roger Pryor, Elmer Grabill, Blaine Grabill, Guy Dedrick, Golden Doran, Jamie Stokes, Bobby Buzza, Marius Christengen, Clarence Wright, Clayton Parks, Harry Bixby and the two Bentley brothers. Practices are Monday and Thursday evenings at the Court House.
