Senior Freshman Powder Puff Team Wins Annual Game
The Senior-Freshman Powder Puff squad defeated the Junior-Sophomore team 30-0 last Tuesday evening under coaches Jeff OConnell and Jerry Hadden. Sue Holling led with 284 rushing yards and quarterback duties, while Pam Johnson scored four touchdowns with two-point conversions by Beth Ostermier. Sue Luehrs forced three fumbles and Holly Atkins had an interception. seniors Johnson, Luebhrs, Holling, Meyer, and Modlin starred.

The Sidney Harriers competed in multiple races with varsity and novice divisions. In the Alliance Invitational Varsity Sidney finished fourth behind Scottsbluff Gering and Alliance, while in Novice Sidney finished fourth behind Scottsbluff Alliance and Valentine. Runners included Kuhns Hazlett Fleming Braver and Wolvin in Varsity and Buhrdorf DePoorter Wiles Hammond Skrdiant Buecker in Novice, with other results noted at Scottsbluff Invitational and a preview of the upcoming Western Conference meet at Alliance.

Sidney Red Raider Volleyball hosts Scottsbluff Bearcats at 4 38 PM in the JH auditorium. Raiders fell 4 15 5 15 to Gurley Pirates in varsity. JV won game two 15 13. High point servers were Teresa Everingim Cindy Sullivan and Julie Whitefoot. Last Friday they lost to Alliance Bulldogs 7 15 and 8 15 in varsity. JV also struggled.
