Inflation bites farmers as USDA reports Sept 15 farm prices up 19 percent from April and 81 percent versus Sept 15, 1973. Anhydrous ammonia rose to 229 per ton from 183 in April and 92.50 a year ago. 10-10-10 fertilizer averaged 123 per ton, up from 103 and 70.80. maquinaria and feed costs also climbed. farm machinery up 9 percent since June and 22 percent year over year.
