The Inland Construction Co. won five Sidney street improvement contracts totaling 84 520 70 dollars beating Diamond Engineering of Grand Island and A H Read Co. of Cheyenne. New producers join Kimball county activity this week in the Southwest Potter field on the east edge of the county. Wytex and Tela Oil Corp continued successful drilling with an 815 foot oil-bearing D sand test in Hagemeister No. 3. Shell Oil Co reported a good producer in Kennedy No. 2 with casing run for production from the D sand and staked Kennedy No. 3 nearby. Ohio Oil Co plugged its first Kimball test as a dry hole at Evertson No. 1, three miles southwest of Kimball. Magnolia-Mockett No. 1 showed gloom with dry D sand and a J sand test yielding mud and water. lower J sand drilling continued. Superior Oil Co. Terman No. 1 progressed toward the D sand while Skelly Oil Co. advanced Olsen No. 1 at the west edge of Southwest Potter. In Smith-Enders field Rock Hill Market No. 3 and Magnolia Ella Long No. 1 plus Stanolind activity continued, as True-Brown Drilling near 5,000 feet on a Stanolind farmout. Polio Victims From Cheyenne County Reported
An 8 year old Terry Mac Pfau was hospitalized in Scottsbluff with bulbar polio symptoms. Sidney Police Captain Bill Rezac was tested and ruled not to have polio. Kenneth Mitchell, a farm worker near Dix, was sent to Scottsbluff for evaluation with bulbar polio not confirmed.

Prisoners Taken To Jail From Buena Vista Hold
Cheyenne County Deputy Sheriff Arnold Braasch and Deuel County Sheriff John Glenn escorted three prisoners from Buena Vista Colorado to Chap pell for a liquor store burglary last winter. The trio had been held while awaiting release from the boys' reformatory after a Croak burglary conviction.
