Opera House Opens in Sidney with Shore Acres
The Tobin Opera House opened last Saturday to a crowded, pleased audience. The 600 seat theatre features a high arched ceiling, gas lighting, a large stage, multiple scenery drops, and an accompanying kitchen for events. Shore Acres presented by local amateurs directed by Ada Heist delighted patrons, with standout performances from Beryl Clifton and Frances Hart. Mrs. Clinard died in Omaha after a surgical operation. her remains were returned to Sidney for burial. Rev. J. S. Leamer conducted the service.
