Nichol wins Nebraskas 48th District recount
Secretary of State Allen Beermann reported Bill Nichol of Scottsbluff won the recount by 68 votes over Terry Carpenter in the 48th District. Nichol finished 2,546 to 2,478 while Ben Wilson had 2,178. No unopened ballots were found. two disqualified Carpenter votes occurred for missing first names or initials. Carpenter had resigned last May and ran a write in campaign.
