Authorities warn merchants to beware three forgers using the names Andrew S. Jacques James Blair and Joseph Sousa. They have allegedly passed worthless checks totaling over 2500 while expanding into the region. Jacques, a San Quentin parole violator age 55 and 5 8 tall, is considered highly skilled and can open store credit accounts then flee with cash. Sousa and Blair have operated together for several hundred dollars, with Blair sometimes aided by a woman and child.

James J. Meenan 56 prominent Sidney man died last week at Mayo Clinic Rochester after illness. Funeral services led by Rev Anton Link at the Catholic church, burial in Catholic cemetery. He operated the Sidney Tire shop, had bought it from Frank Nolan’s estate, and was cared for by his sister Mrs Mary J Tompkins of Santa Monica, who arrived during his final days.

Unidentified Man Killed By Train In Nebraska
Authorities seek identifications for a man found dead along the Burlington line north of Bridgeport after being struck by a northbound train around eight. He wore worn clothing, weighed about 130 pounds, stood five foot seven inches, aged 25 to 30, with brown hair, and was found near a small bonfire. No papers or money were recovered. The body was taken to Bridgeport, Morrill County, near the state line.
