Burial Today For Staff Sergeant Schwank In Sidney
Military funeral will be held at 10 a.m. at St Patrick's Catholic Church for Donald J Schwank 20 killed in a England airplane crash on November 6. The service is under Rev Albert Albel with honors by American Legion and VFW posts. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. His escort Sgt James T Rogers of Lynchburg Va accompanied his remains. Both served as tail gunners based at Upper Heyford England. The crash near Dunman England killed all eleven aboard a B 50 training flight. Schwank had served 25 months 12 days in the Air Force and was awaiting December return to the U S. He was born November 29 1931 in St Libory Nebr later moved to Oshkosh and Sidney. Survivors: parents Mr and Mrs Harry Schwank Sidney a sister Sr M Katerin of Chicago and a brother Jerry a student at Oshkosh High School.
