Not Guilty In Bridgeport Marshal Case In Defending Self

Old Charge: John Bartling Arrested for Horse Stealing

John Bartling was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Sager and brought to court to answer a horse stealing charge. He previously forfeited a $2,000 bond after missing trial, later paid by his father via the Supreme Court. Now married, living near Redington, he is under a $500 bond with the case continued to the next term.

Former Sidney Resident John A. Carley Dies at 71

John A. Carley a Sidney resident in the 1930s and later of Uva Wyoming died last Saturday at his home from heart failure in his seventy second year. His body was brought to Sidney Monday with two sons and his widow. Masons conducted the burial service at J. W. Harper undertaker's residence and he was laid to rest in the village cemetery.
