Willis promoted to detective lieutenant in Sidney police
Richard T Willis, a seven year Sidney Police Department veteran, was promoted to detective lieutenant with noon ceremonies at City Hall. Salvation Army to distribute bags Tuesday in Sidney

Postage stamp test uses lickless adhesive
The U S Postal Service is trialing a pressure sensitive adhesive stamp that requires no licking. It first went on sale November 16 in five districts Boston Chicago Salt Lake City Tampa and the Allegheny District of Pittsburgh. The test will run through the holiday mailing season.
