Sidney Census Shows Population Dip and Shifting Age Groups

The US Bureau of Census finds Sidney's population fell by 311 since 1970. The 19 and under group declined by 513, while the 30 to 49 bracket dropped by 185 and the 60 plus segment rose by 158. Female departures outpaced male with 214 women leaving versus 97. Housing units fell to 2,434 from 2,463.
