About 1,700 wheat farmers in the Cheyenne County area will receive a total of 4 million dollars in deficiency payments. The payments, mailed between December 1 and 15, are the 1977 target price minus the higher of the national loan rate or market price, calculated at 65 cents per bushel times the farm’s normal production.
