Handel Messiah to be heard at Chappell High School
Handel's Messiah will be performed at the Chappell High School auditorium on Sunday December 11. The Panhandle Choral Group directed by Mrs H L Carlson will sing with singers from Lodgepole Potter Dalton Scottsbluff Oshkosh Sedgwick Sidney and Chappell. Sponsors include the area ministers association the Business and Professional Women and the Chappell Chamber of Commerce.

Three SOD Workers Earn Performance Awards
A painted iron stake about three feet high marks the highest point on a ridge in section 15-12-59 Kimball county. A stone cairn three and a half feet high stands a quarter mile southeast, erected last summer by Michigan realtor C Rowland Stebbins and his three sons Malcom Winston and Kenyon. They sought the highest point by trial over hillrocks and ridges, choosing another spot as the “highest” to build the cairn.
