Land Fill Plan OK'd For City
Sidney approves a land fill garbage plan moving from burning at a northeast dump to burying waste under dirt at a new site east of the current dumps. Roy Steel Marsh leases his land to the city in exchange for property improvements. The process uses a caterpillar tractor to spread and cover garbage with a foot of dirt, eliminating smoke and rodent problems as decomposing waste heats the cover.
